So let me explain to you that it’s a code that we type on top of the module and out of any procedure (Sub/Function). The purpose is to check and force variable declaration.

Example wise benefit is to catch if there is any mistake in a variable name or not? so it will be immediately trapped before running procedure. Let's say you have declared a variable as EmpDepartment and after assigning a value in this variable in a procedure while executing the procedure, you by mistakenly typed EmpDpartment then it will catch it and return compile error rather than giving no output in runtime.
