Hey noticed this? When you book taxis from the apps of an Aggregator this is what usually happens:You log into their apps and check for taxi availability. You read (e.g.) ‘available in 4 minutes’. You confirm booking. It will now indicate ‘arriving in 12 minutes’. You call up the driver. Answers: ‘I will take 15 minutes to come.’ He actually arrives after 20 minutes!!!Four variables on one booking: Two driven by Technology, Two by Human.
Sample this:I received an SMS from Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) SMS: Please pay your dues of Rs.344.72 to avoid disconnection.I logged on to their site to check why it showed an outstanding. I found to my dismay the outstanding was shown as Rs. 1544.00I called up their customer support officer. She merrily calculated and was pleased to inform me the outstanding amount was Rs. 1094.I revealed my predicament of now dancing with three figures. 344.72; 1544.00; 1094.00.After initial persuasion, followed by hard negotiation, leading to soft hearted begging and ending with mutually acceptable solution, she promised to get back with a confirmation tomorrow. She spiked the conversation with a confident, reassuring caveat that the SMS figure of Rs. 344.00 was wrong and that I should ignore it. Her figure of 1094 was right and that 1544 she will inquire. She got back the next day. Answer: My connection was already disconnected 2 years ago.So Outstanding how much? Hehehe…That’s still Standing Out.
