Have you had instances when you call up a help line for support, say for your number, laptop, washing machine, or food delivery ?
Have you encountered the team attending the call who sounds 'unenthusiastic ', uninterested, lack of energy and definitely not best at listening, or for that matter not even giving you time to speak
What kind of feelings are you left with?
You too feel lack of enthusiasm, lack of energy, probably a little angry.. but who wants to fight it out and claim for your share of an answer, clarity or a credit or a repair?
It's easy for customers to walk out than complain.
If your customer service team demonstrates 'lack of will ' to help, it shows up in the form of 'lack of enthusiasm ' and guess what it translates to
A loss of a customer who you spend months on to earn
Getting your teams upto speed, from time to time interventions will save you the time of loosing a customer.
Ask yourself - Can you afford a loss or several such losses, that shows up as leakage of revenue.. or would you rather pay towards a training intervention and not loose the revenue instead. Which one is easier?
