Those who have the habit of blaming everything and everyone else for their own failure, please don’t bother reading this.Anyone who is willing to listen to a different view is welcome and I hope you do enjoy reading what I have to say.The trend of the 21st century is all about Affirmation. In principle it is a great mind programming tool. However, and sadly it has reduced down to ritualistic behaviour from a powerful tool. What I find is those who promote the theory of Affirmations or Law Of Attraction, are just academic. They don’t come from a space of self-exploring or actualising the things they teach. To start with, none of them have tools, methods, process and procedures to teach you very basic.A child is growing up and we teach them, by example, basic things like how to tie their shoes, wear clothes, use toilet, wash their hands, eat properly and all that. More you teach by example, better your child is. You can either run the teaching as a regimental monkey see monkey do or lead by example. Process of leading by example is offering choices.Business of training and coaching is the same. Instead of teaching what, teach them how. Allow their own intelligence to find the most suitable way to achieve their full potential. My take on teaching/coaching has always been different. I attempt to change the rudimentary mind set. The mind set that I call “Mediocre Middle-Class Mentality”First step is to break them free from this. The Box of Mango TestSituation: A person is presented with box of Mangoes (my favourite fruit).Incidence: When opened, they see a couple of Mangoes are going bad.Now there are two outcomes here.Outcome 1 “Mediocre Middle-Class Mentality” (99% of the people):They will take those Mangoes that are about to go bad, cut/clean/prune and eat the remaining. On day one.Come day two, another mango or two are showing signs of going bad. Repeat the cut/clean/prune …They will keep eating rotten mangoes till the End.Outcome 2 those who are free from “Mediocre Middle-Class Mentality” (1% of the people):They will throw away the bad mangoes and use the good ones.Next day, they will still have good mangoes and so on they will eat only good mangoes.Moral of the story? It is not the knowledge and know how on how to cut/clean/prune bad mangoes. It is about choices you make in life.Do you want to eat bad mangoes all your life?Your choice. Don’t complain. This is …Hemant Desai Presents
