A few days back I had conducted training for an NGO that deals with kids and specifically primary and secondary school students.I was shocked when I saw the facts and figures…read on as it can be related to kids around you.I am not a specialist and it is my own research, actual numbers may be much higher but your feedback is welcome.Our country INDIA is ranked as 1^st which has the youngest population and 2^nd which is most populous.India has one of the world’s highest suicide rates for youth aged 15 to 29, more than 100000 students per year. You can understand the pressure and life these fragile shoulders are bearing. Are we ready to understand their pain and come out with any solutions? Let us look around the numbers and keep reading further.In INDIA we have more than 1.5 million schools and more than 300 million students and it’s a huge number to consider. We know well about the Indian education system and bureaucracy in the department. Millions of students are completing their education every year and starting a new life. Do you think so that they all are equipped with the right skills required for them to live a better life?Post analysis a question appeared in my mind that what is next? How can I contribute and support?? and then I have decided to first gather information and share with people to make them aware. A piece of concrete information and like-minded people group can make a big difference in a student’s life. I have a vision and mission to make such a fragile army ready to face life and its learnings.I am not suggesting to fight against the system and change the mode of teaching but let us make the shoulders stronger to bear the burden. Let us uplift the spirit of students and let us make them aware and prepared for their next level and stand with our beloved kids. This is my vision.Don’t worry I am not planning to start an NGO or asking for any kind of material help and support. Such changes can not be done overnight and cover larger geography. Rather let us start in bits and pieces, let us focus on our own kids first, let us start the change from our home and neighbourhood and grow gradually.
